Figure Skating Spinners?
October 13th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Spins are the hardest things to learn for me so I was considering an off ice spinner.
Would this work for practicing my sit spin and camel? And also how do you use it? Are there any brands you recommend?

I have been skating for 3 years now and im currently working on my axel, layback spin, and flying camel. I just bought the Jackson Proflex Boots with the Paramount blades. They havent come yet but i heard the boots were hard to get used to. I just wanted to know if any of you guys had any feedback on how the boots and/or the blades are. I dont want what you’ve heard about them, i want experience please.

Am I hopeless for figure skating?
October 1st, 2009 Posted by: admin
Well, recently, after watching my friend figure skate, I decided I wanted to figure skate as well. So, I borrowed a couple of books and started reading some, but haven’t finished all of them. Anyways, I found the sport so artistic and thrilling, I decided I wouldn’t give up if I started. But the problem is, I’m so inflexible that I can’t even reach my toes. =[ Because of this inflexibility, do you think I won’t be able to figure skate? I would really like to do this sport a lot, but I’m afraid my inflexibility will stop me. Please answer.

So I have this knee injury from figure skating and I don’t know what to do help?
September 17th, 2009 Posted by: admin
So I figure skater I have had this bad knee pain for a maybe 3 week possibly a month, and I thought it was getting better and it just got worth. Yesterday I fell on it really hard and I had a hard time walking on and skating on it. Then today I went skating again and fell on it and again. At random times it just is so much pain and I just fall. So I don’t know what to do. Because I am trying to make a competition roster for my the synchronized skating team i am on, and the competition is on Saturday, and then shortly afterward is sectionals and in March I want to do this competition as a singles skater. And I just got injured at the worth time and I have no idea what to do. I just want to skate.

Does anyone still figure roller skate?
September 7th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I never see it around anymore. It seems like there is no need for roller skating rinks so they close. There is only a handful left in nj. Are figure roller skating clubs some kind of secret society?j/k
2 CommentsBut if you are part of a club or competitively figure roller skate, what state? Have you tried figure skating? Is it harder than ice figure skating? What made you to figure roller skate?
