I bought a house made in 1948 with wood floors. There is a mushy spot under some vinyl flooring that is right in fron of where the fridge is. I suspect there was some water damage from the earlier fridge before I bought the place. It’s a pier and beam foundation, so I can get into the crawl space below. I looked around a little when installing the water for the ice maker in my new fridge. I did not see any water damage from below. How do I detect what the problem is and how should I go about fixing it?

My refrigerator has an automatic ice maker,but it gives me empty ice shells instead of ice cubes?

This is the second refrigerator with the same problem when it comes to ice. The second fridge was almost brand new and never had it’s ice maker attached. Yet the same problem occurs. I think the problem is in the flow of the water (maybe). I really don’t know, but can you help?
Sounds right Valerie. I tried to add details but I guess it didn’t go through. In the front of the ice maker I get hollow shells, but in the rear there seems to be a leak, it drips and causes a block of ice. I hope you get this. Thanks.

Question about ice cubes/trays?

The fridge in the house we are renting doesn’t have an ice maker, so we are using trays. Why in the world are all of the cubes in the trays only coming out in chunks or chips as opposed to cubes?

there is always water coming into my fridge, i have to put a bowl in the back of the inside so the water will not get on all my food.The ice maker also doesn’t produce any ice. Could this also be related?

The copper line is already done by my builder and I have the fridge on the way but need to know how to connect the two. Can someone help me out?

the delivery guy said they won’t do it
So a plastic inlet attaches to a copper line? There’s no threads on the copper part and the plastic certainly can’t secure itself to copper without them right?

Why would my regular water and ice from the fridge all of a sudden taste sweet?

I got a plastic cup out, and filled it with tap water and ice from the automatic thing out of the fridge. I took a BIG drink and it was weirdly sweet. I doubt it but, do you think there was dish washing detergent in my cup or could there be a reason why the water tasted sweet?
