What if a girl plays ice hockey?
November 20th, 2009 Posted by: admin
I’m taking a lot of ice skating lessons so I can play ice hockey, the only problem is my dad is not going to pay for my ice hockey because “it’s a boy’s sport” and I do not have a job that will give me enough pay. My whole family is trying to talk me out of it… I just try to ignore them but they keep bothering me about it. All of my friends are supporting me and most guys are surprised that I’m going to do it. Is it unattractive to guys?

Is 14 too late to start ice hockey?
October 14th, 2009 Posted by: admin
Hi I’m 14 and I’m thinking about playing ice hockey. I know how to skate and that’s basically it. I went to the rink today and was intimidated by 6-year-olds skating way better than me. Is it possible for me to practice enough to be one of the best on a team of my age group? Of course coaches and parents will tell me I can but I want to know what unbiased people think. Also if you feel like it you may include some tips on beginning hockey

It must be at least 2-3 inches I would think. Then they reapply more during intermission.

Sports (particularly ice hockey) photographers - opinions, critique, advice?
August 14th, 2009 Posted by: admin
This is, in my opinion, one of my best photos from a recent hockey game (high school hockey). I had to shoot through the glass because there aren’t any of those nice little holes for photographers in the glass at the rink, and I’m not allowed to have the door to the ice open during a game.
1 CommentAnyways, it was only my second time photographing a hockey game. I know it’s not an amazing photo or anything, but I’m trying to improve, so I’d really like to hear your opinions, a critique of the photo, any advice you might have for me, etc.
Here’s the photo: http://flickr.com/photos/dani_1591/3307063375/
Thanks in advance! =)
