Does anyone like NHL ?

Hey,

I posted this link here; I know… AFL is Australian Football. But, the National Hockey League should get more coverage on TV here in Australia…
It’s faster and more dangerous than AFL, those skates hurt…

Remember the Zednick skate injury in February ?
In the 3rd period of the Sabre-Panther game, as Olli Jokinen fell head-first to the ice, upended by Sabre Brian Campbell, his right leg flew up and struck teammate Richard Zednik directly on the side of the neck. Now this I gotta quote: “Clutching his neck, Zednik immediately raced to the Florida bench, leaving a long trail of blood.” Couldn’t find it on Youtube yet (that’s terrible!). And you thought hockey was boring and for sissies?

I am a Wings Fan too,
through thick or thin… I supported them when we lost to Anaheim last year too,

Will i lose my figure skating jumps/spins since i got hurt?

im a figure skater, and i fractured my leg in august/september, but ive been out of skating for only 7 weeks. will i lose my jumps and spins because of this, and how long approximately should it take to get everything back to normal when i had been skating. today has been 2 weeks since i got my boot off from the fracture, and my orthopedist said that in two weeks (two weeks ago) that i could skate. so sometime this week or next week ill go to the rink for a lesson with my coach most likely, but what will it feel like?! this ever happen to anyone or something similar happen to you?!
my leg isnt fractured anymore, and ill be skating in a few days just right now im sick.

Need info on traveling via airplanes for figure skating competition in US Afraid of losing figure skates?

Has anyone traveled recently via air with there skates? Heard rumor from Hockey that the flight attendants can place skates, Hockey sticks etc on board with them as carry on. Does anyone know is that true?Traveling later this year for my daughters figure skating competition in Minnesota from NY. There will be a plane change during flight. For those who skate competively you all know how much are skates are as well as costumes etc so you can understand my concern.
Now since 9/11 no sharp objects are allowed as carryon. As we all hear about lost luggage the last thing traveling for competition is to lose the main thing you need your costume and your skates. Any info appreciated. Thanks
heard that you can have the flight attendant take the skate bag and they put the bag near there area? Is that true?
