I am getting ready to test as a preliminary skater for USFSA. I need new skates and was thinking about getting the riedell elite royal boot and the John Wilson pattern 99 blade. Has anyone used these? Opinions?

i am a freestyle 5 skater and i have very good skates i am going out skating on an outdoor rink and my boyfriend plays hockey and he says that the ice will dull your blades will it?
